This phrase includes commercial-security labels, decoration, holographic elements, etc., but it is not justified in applications based on optical interference and information storage.
The wide applications of holography include: 3D microscopy, medical engineering, applications of light emission and projection systems, biological systems, engineering of photonic devices, nano structures, advanced textile technologies, semiconductor lasers, liquid crystal technology, display technologies.
